Due to the bitter and leafy nature of Kratom powder, Kratom nausea is relatively common. Fortunately, there are a few techniques that you can use to completely avoid Kratom nausea, as will be described below.

Eating Food Before And During A Kratom Experience Is The Key

The most effective way to avoid Kratom nausea is to eat food at the proper times.

Some people advocate fasting before taking Kratom in order to increase the effects. However, it is better to have a little bit of food in the stomach, preferably something like bread, crackers, or granola. Essentially, having some food in the stomach helps to dilute the Kratom powder, and this technique alone goes a long way towards preventing Kratom nausea.

Simultaneously however, I do not recommend taking Kratom on a full stomach, since that could lead to nausea, and would weaken the effects of the Kratom.

Basically, the best time to take Kratom is 2-4 hours after a meal when you’re not full but also you’re not hungry, and if you are hungry then eat a light snack before taking the Kratom.

Beyond that, I strongly recommend eating some more food 30-60 minutes after taking Kratom. The effects of Kratom can ramp up quickly towards the 60 minute mark, and it is better to eat some food at that point so the effects do not come on too quickly, which could cause nausea. At this point you could even eat a big meal, which will make the Kratom feelings last for the rest of the day.

Take A Reasonable Dose, Less Is More

Another thing that can easily cause Kratom nausea is taking too much Kratom. A light dose of Kratom is 1-3 grams, a moderate dose is 4-6 grams, with a strong dose being 7-10 grams. Taking more than 10 grams will almost always lead to nausea, and is unnecessary to begin with, since Kratom’s effects peak in the 7-10 gram range.

The information above is a dosing guide that I’ve written based on my decade of Kratom experience. However, Erowid recommends an even lower ‘strong dose’ of only 4-8 grams.

When All Else Fails, Take Ginger To Eliminate Kratom Nausea

Ginger is Kratom’s best friend in my opinion. Even if you’re not nauseous, Ginger makes the Kratom experience more enjoyable. The two herbs simply mix well.

Even better, if you do experience some Kratom nausea, Ginger can wipe out the nausea within minutes. Ginger comes in a variety of forms, including Ginger tea, Ginger root, and Ginger powder, and any of these would work.

However, my favorite ways to take Ginger are Gin Gins candy, as well as homemade Ginger tea which you can easily make by boiling ginger root in milk and adding some honey.

Thus, if you follow all of the advice in this guide, I can pretty much guarantee that you will never have to deal with Kratom nausea again.
